The "WHICH OF THE NEW INFERNAL "DISCIPLINES" DO YOU LIKE MORE?" poll has ended.
Here are the results:
Maleficia 24 Votes 50%
No one 14 Votes 29%
Striga 10 Votes 20%
I have curiosity, the people who has voted the "No one" option has voted that because:
1.- Those "disciplines" are useless
2.- Are overpowered
3.- Are too weak
4.- You don´t like infernal vampires at all
I voted maleficia. Because it has "evil eye", "barrenness" and "Psalm of the Damned", three powerfull cards that mix very well.
Hi there, Manituan
ReplyDeleteI've voted Striga, because I do love "strix" card, but in an overall, Maleficia is better.
At the moment I haven't seen in forums decks posted to be brought to tournaments with this infernal "disciplines"... strange? maybe $expensive?

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI voted "No one" with a reason that basically is a mixture of points 1, 2 and 4 you mentioned.
I think these cards could easyily be implemented into Daimonion, the creation of the two pseudo-disciplines was unnecessary. Probably WW felt like they had to do something "new", so they did, but without much intellectual effort.
Also, they are a tad too strong and giving the already mighty Infernals another big boost. It seems like the Baali (as well as the Malkavians) are one of the favourite clans of the design team, getting ridiculous strong cards whenever possible.
Since I hail from the RPG Vampire: The Masquerade, I hold a strong dislike against Infernals/Baali (as well as the Malkavians - mhh, weird...). Like in the RPG, Infernals should not be playable characters/decks. An implementation through event cards (something called "Nergal's Rising" or similar stuff) would be enough to make them present in the story and that would be enough.
My opinion. At least they did not print another (!)Malkavian Starter in HttB, like in every other set since 10 years, where it was halfway possible.
