WoW, Magic y Vtes Vs WoW Raid Decks

Nose si conocéis los raid decks del WoW... He hablado varias veces de ellos en mi blog. Son mazos tuneados que juega un jugador y 3 o mas jugadores se enfrentan a él con pocas opciones de éxito, lo que lo hace un desafío. En un juego de cartas del palo 1vs1, tener este tipo de alternativas es algo refrescante.

El caso es que la moda de jugar al WoW TCG en mi grupo de amigos ha pasado y otros hobbies están comiéndole terreno, con lo que no puedo jugar los mazos raid que tanto me gustan. Me he puesto a pensar en lo mucho que se parecen magic y wow y la idea llegó sola. Jugar los mazos raid contra mazos del wow o magic.
Así podría llevar los raid deck al pueblo (allí solo juegan magic) y que Onyxia desayune planeswalkers.

He estado pensado en reglas opcionales para aunar los dos sistemas y a la conclusión que he llegado es que según cada cual juegue magic o wow se le aplicarán las reglas de sus respectivos juegos. Por lo que la dificultad de mezclarlos en mínima.
Las vidas de los jugadores serán 30 en el caso de que juegue magic y las que tenga el héroe si es de wow. En el caso de magic si el daño no es letal se curaría, en wow se acumula.

Se podría meter también en esta loca mezcla Vampiro? Lo veo complicado, por el sistema de combate y sigilo/intercept. Una solucion sería jugar sin modificadores ni reacciones. O que el máximo de sigilo/intercept que pueda conseguir un minion sea 1, que sería el equivalente de vuelo en magic.

La próxima vez que vaya pienso probarlo, ya os contaré.

Last week I bought a giant deck, because I want a tribal deck with cheap rares and I don´t have any deck with big creatures.
If it doesn´t work I will put the giants in my hypergenesis deck.

The Worldwake´s Spoilers have begun

With this 10 visual spoilers wizards of the coast have started to show us how this set will be. Worldwake is the second set in the zendikar block.
In several days all the set will be in the internet, not as White Wolf that show us the spoilers after they sell us the cards. I don´t understand this kind of merchandising, seriously.

M11 announced

Wiz­ards has offi­cially announced Magic 2011 (or M11 in abbreviated form.)

Wiz­ards also has announced phys­i­cal pre-constructed decks inspired by the Xbox ‘Duels of the Planeswalk­ers’ game. The infor­ma­tion on these is scant.

Decks will con­tain 60 cards and one 15 card Magic 2010 Core set booster pack. And the MSRP will be $14.99.
Release Date: June 4th, 2010.

Cheap decks I

Hi! I´m going to start a new section in this blog named "Cheap decks". Decks that are awsome without any expensive cards. On november I did my last cheap deck. It was the vampires deck (magic). It cost only 8 euros. Today we´re gonna see how making a white kor deck with 6 euros. Let´s see.

2º tournament of San Esteban de Nogales, Magic

Last weekend was the 2º tournament of San Esteban de Nogales, my girlfriend´s village in Leon.

This year, I was the winner, at last. 10 players. 1vs1 and 2vs2 modes.

In 1vs1 mode, I won the final against a mono red deck.
Me (mono black rogue) vs Gelo (Mono red shock)

In 2vs2 mode, I was on the finals too, but we haven´t won it.
Roque (green counters) and Me (Hypergenesis) VS Toño (Elves) and Rubio (mono red)

My rogue deck cost only 16 euros and won decks from 20 to 100 euros. I´m very proud of it. Greetings.

Cheap Decks II

A lot of new tribal creatures have come to magic. One of them are the vampires. Before zendikar, vampires are expensive creatures with no deck around them.
Actually, the vampires are in a lot of movies, books, serials and now Wizard of the Coast have created a low cost black creatures arround them. I´ve bought the cards in internet and my deck is something like that:

"Wizards of the coast" knows that, and that´s why they´re making a lot of tribal vampires creatures for his next set of "Magic": "Zendikar"

Magic 2010 Rules Changes

Summary of changes:
1. All mulligans/reshuffles take place at the same time
2. Some new terminology, including "battlefield" for "in play" and "exile" for "remove from game"
3. Mana burn no longer exists
4. Token ownership clarified
5. COMBAT DAMAGE NO LONGER GOES ON THE STACK
6. Deathtouch and lifelink are now static abilities

For me, it´s for better. The combat stack is really confusing. But the people are a little bit anger with this changes...

Freak Combo

There is a new overpowered ability in magic: Cascade.

Cascade (When you play this spell, remove cards from the top of your library from the game until you remove a nonland card that costs less. You may play it without paying its mana cost. Put the removed cards on the bottom in a random order.)

There are 12 cards who have this ability, but for this combo we only need 3.

You only put in your deck cards with cost over 2, then when you search your deck for a less cost card you only will find this:

A new spoiler from the new set of magic "Alara reborn". I think that Wizard of the Coast make this kind of cards only to earn some money.
To me, the funniest thing of magic is deck building. Then, the deck plays by yourself.

At least, our order has arrived! One month later, but it´s better now than never.

The black creature is for my massive discard deck, and the blue one is the only way to play some artifact criatures from now on.


For me is a really bad set, with high costs and ridiculous criatures with 5 colours.
I assure that this plainswalker will cost 30-40 euros next week:




I prefer Vtes much more than Magic, but it´s true that magic have much better Illustrators and much more money on the table. It really hurts.

1º Tournament (San Esteban de Nogales)

Last 28 of December, we were in a little village of Leon (Spain) named San Esteban de Nogales (300 inhabitants). At 2:00 a.m. we were drinking some wine+coke (Calimocho) at my girlfriend´s wine cellar under the land and we were smoking some grass like frodo Baggins... when, at least, we get out all our magic decks to play the tournament. I played with my rogue deck and I´ve got a great position at the 1vs1 and 2vs2.

The results were (12 participants):
1vs1:
1º Gelo, black deck with lots of visara and hypnotic specter.
2º Me, with my rogue deck
2vs2:
1º Juan Angel and me (blue birds)
2º Gelo and ¿? (2 decks with visara)

I hope we´ll repeat this a lot of times from now on. I´m trying to do the same with Vtes, but Magic is already too powerfull to me xD

My Black Rogue Deck

At least I´ve bought some cards in ebay to complete my rogue deck. Now it´s totally black, only has 2 Notorious Throng. This deck is the funiest I´ve ever played, and it´s really competitive and relative cheap (15 euros).
